McKenna loves her books and now she will lie down on the floor and look through them. I love that her little bum is up in the air!

Shaking Her Booty

McKenna has always loved music and she has always kind of danced. While my sisters were visiting Kyle and his new baby this weekend they got to have a dance night with McKenna. We tell her to "shake her booty" and that is exactly what she does! We love it.

New Camera Face

McKenna has started closing her eyes when we tell her to smile! I knew it was coming and now we have to try to rid her of it so we can continue to get good pictures from her. Oh, and this picture was taken because after about 45 minutes of play time I decided to go grab her because the nap was not happening! She also managed to take her bows out, throw them across the room, and pull one pony tail half way out. Lovely, huh?

Our Little Green Thumb

It has been showing signs of spring here in Utah, so we have started on our yard. Today, McKenna decided that she needed to help. The only problem is that she thinks the rocks for the rain drainage are in need of some work. I guess we will have to teach her what is important and what is not important at a later age! At least it kept her busy while we got the real work done.

Kyle and Jen's Baby

Tessa couldn't wait to come into the world, so this morning she decided to be born four weeks early. She is tiny and adorable. She was 5 lbs 11 ounces and 18 inches long. She has dark hair, even on the top of her head, which my daughter was missing for several months. At first glance, I saw Kyle but then the more I looked at her she had alot of Jen's features - she is a great mixture of them both.

We were able to go see her today and it kind of scared me to think that I am going to have one of those little things again in a few short months. McKenna didn't really want anything to do with Tessa at first, but she warmed up to her as long as we were holding her at the same time. The center of our world will have to learn to share some attention -- Tessa helps her practice, Grandma and Grandpa and her aunts and uncle have a new baby to cuddle. Conratulations Kyle and Jen!

Pink Tutu

My family was in town this weekend for Jen's baby shower, so McKenna had a great time with all the attention. My sisters are moving to Utah in the fall and I can't wait! It will be so fun to have all my siblings around. My mom and dad gave McKenna this adorable pink tutu that she wore to the shower. Ashley gave Jen one for her little girl that will be here soon - they can be twins!
