These are just random pictures for my mom, but I did try to put pig tails in McKenna's hair today! They are just a little lopsided...hopefully I get better as she gets more hair!

Painting, Painting, and More Painting

We have been doing a major remodel the past week. As we were walking on our carpet we started to hurt our feet by stepping on the carpet tacks that were coming up through our wonderful carpet. Jade and I have lived with our carpet okay since we moved in - we have always hated it, but have withstood it. With McKenna getting closer to crawling we knew we had to do something, so we gave in and are spending every extra dollar we have on new carpet. We pulled out the carpet in the dining room and scraped up the linoleum in the kitchen and laid laminate wood flooring which looks great!!! We decided that since we were going to get new floors we should do a new coat of paint and that has taken forever!!! Jade, who is afraid of heights, has been a trooper getting the high corners of our ceiling. It will be great when it is done, it just has to get done. That comes to my other dilemma, I am having a huge panic attack about carpet! I don't want to spend all this money on carpet and hate it in six months - I need someone to tell me what carpet I want...it would be easier that way! I will post pictures when this is all done.

These are the pads to go on the bottom of our furniture so it doesn't scrape the laminate flooring...McKenna thought they were fun to take off of my face!!

UVGC Results

We went to the hospital last Friday and the UVGC came out good...McKenna's innerds are working how they are supposed to. She screamed when they put the IV in her little hand and I cried (what a baby!). They put the sedation medicine in her and it was like they flipped a switch, in about two seconds she went from screaming to dazed and calm. She was pretty funny about the whole thing - she just smiled at the doctor and let him do whatever he needed to do. She ended up only needing half of the sedation medicine - she must be a light weight like her mom! We had a fantastic nurse and the procedure was over fairly quick. Now we don't have to worry! These pictures are of her with her blue gauze to keep her hand from bleeding where the IV was and then she had to play with it when we took it off! - at the hospital she kept yanking off the heart rate monitors - they kept having to put them back on - what a wiggler!!!

What Do You Call This?

My mom told me she needed to see more of McKenna so I video taped her trying to do something - maybe crawling. You can decided for yourself what you think she is doing after you watch it. The first time I saw her doing it today I just laughed...kids are so funny!

Mariners Game

We went to a Mariners game last night - Jade's first time at a major league baseball game. The Mariners are not exactly great this year, but they won last night!!! McKenna loved all the attention people gave her and clapped for the team. Clapping is a new thing she does and it is sooo cute - she claps with her fists! It was a gorgeous night and we had a great time!

Fireworks!

We took McKenna to watch fireworks on the 4th and she loved it! It helped that we had ear plugs for her to use!!! She loved to watch the lights in the sky, but got a little tired. By the time the fireworks were over and we walked up from the lake she was out! It was late so her 4th of July outfit was already exchanged for her mismatched pajama outfit! I promise she looked cute earlier in the day - too bad we didn't take a picture of it.

McKenna Loves Baths

My mom has a great sink to bathe McKenna in ... and she does!!! McKenna recieves at least three baths a day and is extremely happy about it. She enjoys playing with the faucet (especially if water is coming out), eating bubbles, playing with rubber duckies, and splashing water all over the kitchen!

Diapers

McKenna found her diaper this week. She was sitting by the couch and decided to entertain herself by figuring out what was on her bum!
