We had way too much fun this summer! I enjoyed every day I got to spend with my adorable kids! Jade and I kept the kids busy and the summer flew by. So after about three months I will update you on our life ... this will be a very brief explanation of our summer but still very long!
We went swimming a lot! The kids love the water and are great swimmers - Seven Peaks' wave pool was our hangout about three times a week!
We went to Disneyland!!! My family went there for our vacation this summer...It really is the happiest place on earth.
We drove and my dad was nice enough to let us use some points to stop in Vegas on the way. The kids were great and we only had to stop once in Mesquite for dinner!
We had fun at the M&Ms World and looking at the Waterfalls!
I was camp director for our ward this year ... so I did a lot of crafts!
My kids got adorable Fourth of July outfits from my parents and River fell asleep at the Parade.
We ate lots of cupcakes! Sweet Tooth Fairy became a weekly stop - you have to try the Strawberry Shortcake cupcakes...YUM, YUM, YUM!
River turned one! My baby is growing up so fast. He was supposed to be my sweet baby...but he has teamed up with McKenna and they cause destruction wherever they go. He finally walked two days after his birthday, loves to say "Mama" as loud as he can scream it, loves his Aunt Staci more than anyone else, still likes to cuddle, giggles when he knows he is doing something wrong, encourages McKenna to be naughty by laughing hysterically when she gets in trouble, and is in the 98% for height - which means that Jade and I get asked if we have twins on a weekly basis. We are so glad he came to our family when he did - life would much more boring without him.
We went to the zoo for his birthday - he loves birds, so we went to the bird show...it was not a disappointment. River giggled and squealed the entire time. We even got to give birds a dollar!
Grandma even surprised us at lunch the day of his birthday! The three grandkids were so excited and all wanted to sit with her!
We dog sitted for my parents, which put our total dogs to six for two weeks! Our own dog, Miley, Lily, Ashley's dog, and her three puppies, plus Mua, a puppy from her first litter. McKenna was in heaven.
I dressed my kids up in cute outfits for church AND took the time to learn how to do McKenna's hair so it is cute.
We spent a lot of time just loving each other and spending all day together!
River became a master at the stairs - he loves to run away from us.
He also spent a lot of time grilling rocks on his talking grill.
We saw what it would be like to have three children for a couple days while Kyle was working and Jen was extremely sick. The kids had a blast but I think Jade and I will wait to have another child! :)
We went to Washington. I got to spend some real great quality time with my Grandpa who is not doing very well health wise. We spent a lot of time at the Country Club pool, thanks Grandma! - I definitely could live that life!
We ate lots of ice cream! - I love those faces!
McKenna started dance class. She is so fun to watch.
School started again, so our fun summer had to come to an end. My parents are amazing and took my kids to Disneyland with them so Jade and I could get our classrooms ready. My kids fell in love with the glass elevator and McKenna became a professional bathing beauty.
They even got their faces painted!
We learned a new way to eat breakfast while mom was getting ready to get out the door for work.
Spanish Fork opened a new park - we went to the celebration! The kids loved getting in the Fire Truck!
We played at the splash park a couple of times after school.
And we found out that River loves football! Maybe he will go pro and give his mom and dad lots of money!
We had so much fun this summer, it was hard to see it go. But we have a whole year of new events to look forward to and another summer to spend with the kids in a year!
