She's A Girl!!!!!

My doctor's ultrasound machine broke, so I was going to have to wait another three weeks to find out what we were having. After much consideration on Jade's part he finally let me talk him into the ultrasound place at the mall. We have a video of her moving all over the place - she especially likes to grab her knees and kick her legs up. We are sooooo excited!
I am still amazed that I am growing a baby inside me!

Our Growing Puppy

So my puppy is getting really big and most people would not consider calling her a puppy because of her size! She does not know how big she is however and still thinks she gets to participate in all the activities she did when she was tiny - such as laying on top of us to cuddle. Here are two pictures for you to see how fast she has grown. In the first one she fit on my hip, now she takes up my whole body!

And by the way, there are a ton of new posts below...I was on vacation for so long and I had so many pictures to post! Enjoy!

Pioneer Day in Spanish Fork

Yesterday was a busy day here, we got up and went to the parade, went to Jade's family reunion, went to the rodeo, and watched fireworks. We were quite tired by the time we crawled into bed! Jade didn't have to teach or work so it was nice to spend the time with him. Above is a picture of our nephew, Brecken, with my huge sunglasses on. He didn't know what to think. Here we are sitting, and kind of watching, the parade!
Jade's dad is on the city council, so he was in the parade. He is the one in the passenger seat.

Boondocks

Those of you who lived with me in college know about my fascination with family fun centers, like the now closed Fun Dome. On Saturday, my mom flew home in the morning, and I had to work, so my dad took Kyle, Jade, and Kyle's girlfriend, Stella, to Boondocks, a fun center. I was so bummed I didn't get to go. Jade said he would take me some other time - I will hold him to that statement. Dad, Jade, and Kyle got soaked on the bumper boats...you can spray each other!
My dad is taking the miniature golf very serious!Kyle is making sure Stella putts just right.

Children's Parade

I am in the Primary Presidency in my ward so I got the privelege of being in the Spanish Fork Children's Parade - YEAH for me! The theme was "Come Party With Us," so we had the kids dress up in fifties outfits and dance! They were great, but I was ready to get out of the hot sun and be done at the end!

The Elvis boys were rockin' out on the float. Tricia, the Primary President, drove the float through the parade with a four-wheeler.

There I am in the back making sure kids don't fall off the float or walk backwards into the float!

Mom and Dad in Utah

My mom and dad flew to Utah with me for Stephanie's brother's wedding. The wedding was really nice and it was fun to have mom and dad around a little longer. Todd (Stephanie's brother) had a really nice brunch at the Joseph Smith Building in Salt Lake so here I am with my dad and Kyle standing on the second floor. My dad is afraid of heights and this just about killed him having to stand so close to the railing! At the reception later that night Jade got ahold of the camera and started taking pictures of everyone and everything. He actually got a few good pictures out of the hundred or so he took!

Candid shot of Kyle laughing. Probably laughing at Jade and his maniac picture taking ways.
I am sure Stephanie is going to love Jade for this one!
Stepanie's cute boy, Warren. Stephanie's mother-in-law made him his tie and shirt for the occasion!
And here is my mom, making some kind of face at Jade.

Crescent Bar

This is what I have been doing for the past two weeks - pretty much just sitting on my butt or sleeping. I left my poor husband to fend for himself for two weeks, while I went and relaxed at Crescent Bar in Washington with my family. Jade couldn't leave because he had to teach summer school for part of his student teaching - he wishes he could have been with my family and me instead. I had a really great time and my family liked to watch my tummy get bigger and bigger by the day.

Here is my mom and me on the SeaDoo, I didn't get to go as fast as I wanted and I had to take it easy because we didn't want to bounce the baby out!!

Staci and me on the SeaDoo!

My dad and Staci's boyfriend, Chris, sitting on the beach making weird faces for the camera.
I didn't get to take my Miley with me because SouthWest does not transport animals, she would have loved it. But here is a picture of a golden doodle (a golden retriever, giant poodle mix) riding on a raft while a boat pulled it!

Swimming Pool for Miley

I am going out of town for the next two weeks and it is going to be hot!!!! With Jade and Kyle's work schedule Miley is going to have to be outside all day, not in the air conditioned house she is used to. So, Jade and I naturally thought she needed a plastic pool to swim in on these hot days. She still is not sure if she likes it or not, but when she gets real hot she will have to use it. I know, you think we are weird, but Miley is our baby for the time being!

Kyle flipped her under the water and so she didn't want to get all the way in again. She can dive into the river, but sit in a plastic pool...too SCARY!
After Miley's traumatic incident with Kyle I had to coax her into the water again. Here she is thinking about going in the water.
She's taking the plunge!
And she is all the way in! We will have to see how long the pool lasts, she usually gets mad at us if we leave her outside too long and takes it out on her toys! The pool might be in shreds by the time I come home.

Fourth of July

Yesterday Jade got to spend time with me! He didn't have to teach or work. In the morning we went to the Freedom Parade in Provo and then out to eat with his family.
Later in the evening we had a big BBQ with Kyle and our neighbors. We cooked steaks with Dad's famous marinate - everyone loved them!
Then we started the fireworks - Kyle had been shaking with anticipation all day. We had quite the firework display, Kyle was not the only one that liked to see things blow up! Though, Kyle did have the best single firework, it was red, white, and blue and had a variety of different types of explosions. After the fireworks we watched a movie on the side of the neighbors' house with a projector and surround sound - other neighbors passing by would stop and join. All in all, it was a fun Fourth, plus the time spent with Jade was nice - he needed a break.

I Am Done With My Masters!

Last Friday was my final day of classes! I now have my Masters Degree in Education with an emphasis in math curriculum. The past four weeks have been pretty stressful, I have been tired...so in turn I have been kranky and emotional - anything could make me cry last week! (Poor Jade!) Southern Utah University has been great to work with, they came up on Friday to give us our certificates of completion and to invite us to graduation next May - they only have one graduation ceremony a year. Most of us are going, we worked our rears off to get it so we deserve to wear the cool hood for a day! They actually let you keep your hood if you go to the ceremony! I am super excited about that! So I will not walk until next May, but we are done and now I can get paid the big bucks! It feels so great to be done!
So while I am sitting on my butt this week (I think I deserve it), Jade is working his off! He has started his summer practicum, the teaching experience before student teaching, where he teaches special ed summer school every weekday from 8:00 am to 12:30pm. Then he heads off to work from 1:00 pm to 9:30 pm. He hates how little time he has right now, but it will be over in three weeks and he will have a month break before student teaching begins - then he gets to work til 12:30 am everyday. He just has to be reminded that December is around the corner and then he will be done!
I cannot believe we are almost done with school! I will actually get to use my tax return this upcoming year on something other than school!
