New Hair Cut

We took McKenna to the salon today for her first real hair cut. They had me sit in the chair and hold her while they cut her hair. She was such a good little girl and sat there relatively still.

It is really short but cute.

Staying Cool

McKenna and I now sit in the backyard in a little pool that I bought on Monday - a new one big enough for me to sit in! McKenna gets in and out, but I stay seated because it is the only way for me to stay cool in this heat. I really am ready to have this baby now so I can get the extra heater out of my stomach!

In the mornings we go on a walk to the park and McKenna plays around. Today a kid was playing with Miley and asked me why McKenna had lines on her legs! He was referring to her fat rolls and I had to explain to him about baby fat! I love her little lines on her legs!

Wish me luck with the heat in the next few weeks - I will be sitting in hose water until this little guy decides to come.

Too Dang Cute

McKenna went Father's Day shopping with me on Saturday and it wore her out! She fell asleep in the car with her hand in the popcorn bag! I love this little girl.

My Water Baby

My grandma and grandpa are members of a great Country Club in Tacoma, so McKenna and I took advantage of it while we were in Washington. The weather was gorgeous and we relaxed by the pool every day. They have waiters that come around and get your drink and lunch orders. I really could live like that every day - we just need to win the lottery!

Most of the schools were still in, so we had the pool mostly to ourselves. McKenna took all the noodles out of the bin and gave evil glares to any kid that tried to take them. She is a dare devil and keeps me on my toes! We need to go there more often!

Ashley's Graduation

Ashley graduated from Lakes High School this year! It is really weird to think that my baby sister is going to college - I really can't be that old! I was excited to get to go to Washington for a visit and spend time with my favorite people. McKenna and I stayed for two weeks and then came back to Utah so I can have this baby - plus we kind of missed Jade, who had to stay for classes. Ashley is coming to BYU in the fall! Staci and Chris are coming to Utah for school as well - I am in heaven, most of my family close! Congratulations, Ashley! We love you.

Point Defiance Zoo

Our zoo membership has been awesome and while McKenna and I were in Washington we went to the zoo in Tacoma. They have this really cool aquarium with a shark section! McKenna loved it and wanted to stay there the entire time. She also loved the sea horses and kept yelling "horsies" at the top of her lungs and running from one exhibit of sea horses to the next.

She is Excited!

My family is coming in tonight to attend Tessa's baby blessing on Sunday - McKenna thinks they are coming just for her!

McKenna and Tessa

We watched Tessa for an hour and McKenna loved it! She kept saying "Hi Tessa!" We are definitely going to have to keep a close eye on McKenna when this little boy comes out - McKenna thinks mauling is the same thing as loving. She will be a great big sister!

Wind in Her Hair

McKenna loves to have the windows down in the car while driving! She will even get mad at us if we stop because she thinks we have rolled up the windows!

My Favorite Thing About Summer Is...

Being able to be a stay at home mom! Life can't get any better than playing with your adorable kid all day.
